Kathmandu. Regal Yograj Dhakal was arrested after the Supreme Court’s verdict. He was arrested from Nepalgunj on Thursday afternoon.
The joint bench of judges Ishwar Prasad Khatiwada, Sapna Pradhamalla and Kumar Chudal overturned the decision of the President’s office to grant amnesty to Dhakal and ordered his immediate arrest and detention.
On the occasion of Constitution Day, the Council of Ministers decided to release Yograj Dhakal’s imprisonment and recommended to the President for amnesty. With the recommendation of the government, Dhakal was released from prison.
After the verdict of the Supreme Court, he has to spend 11 years, 11 months and 5 days in jail.
